Hispanic BirthmomA Mother's Choice originally began twenty-five years after the New Mexico Christian Children's Home as a desire and need to expand services to families and children. In 1979 A Mother's Choice was originally called the Christian Child Placement Service (CCPS)  and was licensed as a private adoptive and foster child placement agency overseen and supported by churches of Christ throughout the Southwest. Although A Mother's Choice offers adoption services for all ages, it is typically infants who are placed by the agency in approved adoptive homes.

Our goal is to meet the needs of all three parties in an adoption. Therefore, each adoption is "tailor-made" to best serve all involved.  It is our goal to consider the needs of the birth parents and the adoptive family in each adoption a
nd build an adoption framework that will work for each group.  This individualization is driven by the birth mother's needs, leading to the name change, A Mother's Choice.

A Mother's Choice is a non-profit organization which is based in Portales, New Mexico on the campus of the New Mexico Christian Children's Home. Our personnel travel throughout New Mexico and some adjoining states to work with clients.
